The Problem
Korea has one of the world's highest smartphone replacement rates, which means an enormous installed base of idle devices sitting in drawers. The hard part is not the hardware — it is that DePIN asks a retail audience to install an app and leave a phone running, which is a far heavier ask than buying a token. Acurast also arrived with no Korean-language surface and no Korean community to speak of.
The Solution
We built the campaign around a single line that makes the ask concrete: the next AI datacenter is already in your drawer. The program runs in three phases — community and content standup, a Be-a-Processor participation pool with a UID leaderboard, then an announcement moment sized to carry exchange conversations. Season 0, the launch event, ran August 6-26 across Telegram, KakaoTalk, Naver Cafe and DCInside.
- Community standup across Telegram, KakaoTalk, Naver Cafe and DCInside
- Korean SEO refresh plus a 20-post Naver blog engine
- 100+ KOL activations sustained across the twelve weeks
- Be a Processor Korea pool: UID leaderboard, multi-device, holding-duration weighted
- Old-phone revival UGC challenge built for Korean sharing behaviour
- Two AMAs with S-tier Korean hosts, and six Naver-indexed PR placements
- 30-day holder retention tracking, packaged as exchange-grade evidence
By the Numbers
- 12 weeks — Aug 5 - Oct 27, 2026
- 4 — Korean Channels Live
- 1,000+ — Processor UIDs (Target)
- 1.5M+ — Impressions (Target)
The Result
12-Week Korea GTM, In Flight
- Status: In flight - week 4 of 12
- Season 0: Aug 6-26, results announced Aug 28
- Channels: Telegram, KakaoTalk, Naver Cafe, DCInside
