(New) A Korean creator contest by ium Labs

ium Season. One goal: make your project known in Korea.

An open writing contest does the work. Korean KOL channels enter with a channel code, anyone else with their own account, and both compete for one prize pool. Every entry is checked for accuracy and scored by AI first, two editors confirm the top ranks, and every entry is disclosed as paid. We measure awareness and promise no sign-ups or deposits.

1 goal
awareness in Korea, measured five ways, with no promised conversions
2 tracks
KOL channels with 1,000+ real subscribers, and an open community
120 prizes
the top 20 KOL channels and the top 100 community entries, from a pool split 50/50
Twice a week
rankings, each with a 48-hour window for disputes

Why now

Post-to-earn ended on X. Korea's disclosure rules still apply.

  1. (01)

    InfoFi leaderboards closed.

In 2025 the leading crypto creator programs ran on one formula: one platform, an automatic score and a leaderboard prize. On 15 January 2026 X banned apps that pay people to post and cut their API access.1 Open leaderboards stopped within days.

  2. (02)

A prize is a paid post.

Korea's Fair Trade Commission requires the economic interest in a post to appear in its title or opening, under the endorsement guideline in force since 1 December 2024.3 Conditional rewards count too, such as a prize for a top post.4 In an open contest that covers every entrant, not only the KOLs.

  3. (03)

    Hype is a legal risk.

Korea's Virtual Asset User Protection Act bans unfair means and false statements on material facts, with prison terms of at least one year or fines of three to five times the gain.5 Price calls and listing hints have no place in a contest entry.

  4. (04)

    Automatic scores reward volume.

Ranking by views and likes favours bots and engagement pods. A contest worth entering is judged on the writing, by people who read it.

ium Season keeps the contest open and makes it hold up.

  • Entries arrive as submitted links. Nothing is scored or rewarded through X's API.
  • “유료광고” (paid ad), or wording our lawyer confirms, goes in the title or first line of every entry, community entries included. A vague line such as “may receive a reward” does not count.
  • X posts carry X's Paid Partnership label,2 and X makes up half of the entries or less.
  • One person, one wallet, one account. Accounts must be at least 90 days old, and up to three entries count per person.
  • No price talk, buy calls, listing hints or unlock talk. Claims come from the fact sheet you approve.
  • AI-generated, duplicate and plagiarised entries are removed, and so is bot engagement.
  • Entrants declare whether they hold your token and do not trade it during the season.
  • Prize pools are in USDT by default. A token pool is allowed when entries say so, and token prizes are paid after the season ends.
  • We never drive sign-ups to exchanges that are not registered with Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

Two tracks

KOL channels bring their readers. Anyone can win on the writing.

One season opens two tracks, linked by channel codes. KOLs join voluntarily and are paid only through the prize pool.

PrizesKOL pool, top 20 channelsCommunity pool, top 100 entries

Channel contribution counts the community entries that came in with a KOL's code and made the top 100. The more of their readers a KOL brings, the higher they score, so KOLs do the recruiting. Entrants without a code can still win the community pool on the writing.

Prizes

One pool, split in half, paid in fixed tiers.

The prize pool splits 50/50 between the KOL track and the community track. The amount for every rank is fixed and published before the season starts, so entrants can work out their prize in advance.

120 prizes per season. Shares are of each half of the pool; the ranks within a tier split its share.

Judging

AI reads everything first. Editors confirm who wins.

A contest can draw hundreds of entries, more than editors can read alone, so judging runs in four steps.

  1. (01) Accuracy gate. A claim outside the fact sheet, a banned phrase or a missing disclosure removes the entry.
  2. (02) AI first pass. Every entry is scored for insight, originality and Korean writing, and possible plagiarism or AI-generated text is flagged.
  3. (03) Editors. Two editors re-score the AI's top 60, 30 from each track, and confirm the top ranks. Only an editor can remove an entry.
  4. (04) Reaction data. Views and reactions on the submitted links, with bots removed. Nothing is scored through X's API.

Rankings go up twice a week, and each posting opens a 48-hour window for disputes. People, not an automatic score, confirm the quality.

How a season runs

Two weeks, timed to your key date.

A contest season runs for two weeks, set against your TGE, mainnet or listing, never a token unlock. In the GTM Index, campaigns launched within two weeks of a major exchange listing drew a median 2.3 times the engagement on identical budgets.6

  1. (01) Before. Research brief, fact sheet and rules page. KOL channels are recruited and onboarded, each with its own code.
  2. (02) Two weeks. Both tracks open. Entries arrive as submitted links, and rankings go up twice a week with a 48-hour dispute window.
  3. (03) After. Editors confirm the final ranks, the results are published on this page, prizes go out after wallet and identity checks, and you get the report.

During the season, rankings are posted on Telegram and X. A ranking page for each project follows the first contract.

What you get

An open contest, run end to end.

  • A Korean research brief, fact sheet and rules page, approved by you.
  • KOL channels recruited and onboarded for your season, each with its own code.
  • An open community track with a submission form.
  • Two-stage judging: an AI first pass, then two editors on the top 60.
  • Rankings twice a week, with a 48-hour dispute window.
  • Prize payouts to all 120 winners, after wallet and identity checks.
  • Final results on this page, and a report on the five awareness measures.

Options.

Paid anchors
Mid-tier creators on a fixed fee, to set the quality bar in week one.
Naver search hold
Brand keywords and PR after the contest. In the GTM Index, engagement from KOL bursts returned to baseline within two weeks of the last post.6 Naver ad spend is billed at cost.

What we measure

Awareness, measured five ways. No promised sign-ups.

ium Season has one goal: your project's awareness in Korea, built through Korea GTM. We do not promise conversions such as sign-ups, deposits or installs. In ium Labs' GTM Index, AI and DePIN projects drew the strongest engagement and the weakest product conversion.6

  • If part of the fee is tied to results, two of these five are the targets: by default, Naver search volume and verified reach.
  • Every figure carries its source. Platform-reported and ium Labs-measured numbers are never added into one figure.
  • The final ranks and prizes are published on this page when the season closes.

Season reports are prepared by ium Labs. Figures are reported by ium Labs, not independently audited.
